TOWER London 2017 year in review — Crepe City, Brick Lane, Earl's Court and more
Style Guide

2K17, That's a Wrap

2017, it was a ride.

We grafted hard, opened more stores, brought on new brands and collaborated with a lot of great people. Here are some of the highlights.

March — Crepe City, No. 1

Our first appearance at a Crepe City event. We went in raring to go and collaborated with Saucony. Up for grabs in our space were pairs from Saucony's Dirty Snow Pack and fresh variations on the Shadow 5000, Shadow Original Ripstop, Grid 8500, Grid 9000 Knit and the classic Jazz Original. These newest Saucony silhouettes sat alongside some true vintage pairs and TOWER x Crepe City caps, tees and hoodies.

June — Earl's Court Store Opening

June saw our new store open in West London's Earl's Court Road. Alongside a custom mural created by street art collective Graffiti Kings, the store features the world's first Dr. Martens shop-within-a-shop. To celebrate the launch we hosted an in-store party alongside the guys at Crepe City and Dr. Martens.

July — Crepe City, No. 2

For our second Crepe City of the year we collaborated with Eastpak, featuring embroidered bags from their limited-edition Sukajan collection. We brought along new colourways of the Clarks Originals Trigenic, a two-colourway ASICS camo pack and some Vans Old Skool reissues.

September — Brick Lane Anniversary Party

It wouldn't be right to ignore the first birthday of our East London flagship. We'd just started stocking New Balance, so September brought plenty of reasons to celebrate. We rocked the Brick Lane store with the guys from Crepe City and New Balance, then headed down the road for an after-party sponsored by Vans.

November — Crepe City, No. 3

The third and final Crepe City of the year saw us partner with Sprayground, the New York-born brand known for their bold backpack designs. Alongside Sprayground's accessories, we featured Vans' latest Half Cab styles, new season ASICS, Saucony, Clarks Originals, the suede edition of the FILA Trailblazer, and a selection of premium Dr. Martens silhouettes.

December — TOWER x DMs Christmas Party

To round off a year of in-store events, we got festive and threw a Christmas party in partnership with Dr. Martens. London-based DJ group Born N Bred performed, drinks were sponsored by BrewDog, and the London Proud neon sign lit up the Brick Lane store one more time.

That was 2017. Three Crepe City events, a new store, a Brick Lane birthday, and a year that confirmed TOWER's place at the centre of London's independent footwear scene. On to 2018.
