Peace of mind with Dr. Martens, IFUCARESHARE and Jason Markk. A recap!

Event recap

On 29th May 2022, TOWER joined forces with Dr. Martens, influential advocates for Men’s Mental Health, Jason Markk, a host of industry experts and local food spots — members of London’s footwear community — to raise money for the IFUCARESHARE foundation.

Celebrating in true TOWER style, our VIPs were treated to a custom screen-printing session, followed by an in-house mental health panel talk and the chance to win one of the many exciting prizes up for grabs — TOWER raffles call for celebration, do they not?

The day had the relaxed pulse of an independent retail family gathering — warm conversation, great music and moments of genuine connection. Between the panel, the practical workshops and the raffles, the atmosphere balanced celebration with purpose; a reminder that community-minded events can be both stylish and meaningful. Generous contributions on the night helped amplify IFUCARESHARE’s work and underline how the footwear community can come together for a shared cause.

About IFUCARESHARE

IFUCARESHARE's story began in 2005, following the loss of Daniel O'Hare at just 19. Hoping to prevent another family from feeling the same grief, Daniel's brothers, Matthew and Ben, along with their cousin Sarah, made a plan. They began selling wristbands at football games carrying the message "IF U CARE SHARE," going on to raise over £50,000 for mental health charities. It wasn't until 2011 that IFUCARESHARE registered as a charity, driving three main goals: Prevention, Intervention and Support of those bereaved by suicide.

IFUCARESHARE’s work remains simple and powerful: to open conversations, provide practical support and ensure that no family faces bereavement alone. Events like ours put their message in front of new audiences and help fund initiatives that deliver real, local impact — from awareness campaigns to support services for those affected by suicide.

Our partnership with Dr. Martens

This leads into TOWER's relationship with Dr. Martens, one that takes our Family back to 1980, when we worked hand-in-hand to spread the word of AirWair and those signature yellow threads. Our long-standing rapport made Dr. Martens the perfect partner for such a momentous occasion. After all, home is where the sole is at!

Activities and community

As mentioned above, our nearest and dearest were treated to a host of activities from early doors, opening up exclusive access to custom tee-printing sessions and a footwear-care workshop with the brilliant minds at Jason Markk. It was a relaxed, purposeful day — plenty of good conversation, great music and meaningful connections. One big independent retail family brought together for an even bigger cause.

Guests left with more than memories: practical know-how on footwear care, freshly treated boots and tees personalised on the spot — small details that keep community style looking sharp and lasting a lifetime. The hands-on sessions reflected TOWER’s belief that craftsmanship, care and conversation go hand in hand.

Thanks and next steps

A shout-out to Humble Dough and Hungry Buddha for keeping us in high spirits from dawn until dusk — we couldn’t have done it without you.

If you missed out, don’t worry — perhaps we’ll see you at the next one? Keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime, enjoy the TOWER photo gallery below. We won't be forgetting this one for a while!
