Which Tube Station was Nearly Called Lordship Lane?

It may be known as Wood Green but this Piccadilly line station (and the nearest to two of our stores) was very nearly called Lordship Lane. Why? Because it’s right next to Lordship Lane. Obviously.

Designed by architect Charles Holden, Wood Green, like a lot of stations on the dark blue line, is famed for its modernist style which earned it and all the others from Turnpike Lane to Cockfosters grade II listed status back in 2011. All we need to do now is get listed status for our new store on 119 High Road, Wood Green.
