Where to go for Films with a View

Getting bored of your local multiplex? Fancy seeing a film with a difference? Then we have just what you’re looking for. Held in Shoreditch and Peckham, the Rooftop Film Club will be screening cult flicks at dizzying heights from now until September. Here are three reasons why you really can’t afford to miss these events.

The View
It may sound like we’re pointing out the obvious (which we are) but the Rooftop Film Club really does offer you some of the best views of the city. Peckham’s Bussey Building gives an extended view of classics including The Shard, the London Eye and the BT Tower while those who visit the Shoreditch screen will find themselves nestled among the City’s towering skyscrapers.

Cult Classics
It’s not every day that you see Dallas Buyers Club on the same programme as Wayne’s World but that’s exactly what you’ll find at the Rooftop Film Club. Featuring recent releases, cinematic favourites and even a healthy dose of chick flicks (courtesy of Chick Flick Tuesday), there really is something for everybody here.

Deckchairs
Tapping into London’s love of all things quirky, the Rooftop Film Club manages to achieve that holiday atmosphere by seating ticket holders in deckchairs. A complete juxtaposition considering your surroundings, these striped chairs are perfect for kicking back and relaxing in.
