What’s the difference between the Dr. Martens 1460 & Pascal Virginia boots?

What’s the difference between the Dr. Martens classic 1460 boot and the similar looking Pascal Virginia boot?

The answer is pretty simple and lies mostly in the leather uppers. The classic Dr. Martens 1460 8-eye boots are crafted from a thicker, smooth leather. This leather gives the boot a little more structure than the softer Virginia leather used on the Pascal boots. The Virginia leather is more malleable and more textured to the touch.

The Pascale boots don’t feature taping around the ankle, like that seen on the 1460’s. The Pascal range also comes with mono laces to match the upper of the boot, see the red colourway below, unlike the classic 1460’s which come with either black laces or the signature DM’s yellow.
