WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

What's the difference between the Dr. Martens classic 1460 boot and the similar looking Pascal Virginia boot?

LEATHER

The answer is pretty simple and lies mostly in the leather uppers. The classic Dr. Martens 1460 8-eye boots are crafted from a thicker, smooth leather. This leather gives the boot a little more structure than the softer Virginia leather used on the Pascal boots. The Virginia leather is more malleable and more textured to the touch.

DETAILS

The Pascal boots don’t feature taping around the ankle, like that seen on the 1460’s. The Pascal range also comes with mono laces to match the upper of the boot, see the red colourway below, unlike the classic 1460’s which come with either black laces or the signature DM’s yellow.

...SO?

Considering the pairs at first glance look so similar, there are actually quite striking differences between them. Comfort can be a major factor in why anybody buys a pair of shoes, so the variation between the classic DM's collection and the Pascal range will undoubtedly be the biggest reason someone picks up one pair over the other.
