Take to the Tunnels with the House of Vans

Ever wondered what goes on in the tunnels underneath Waterloo Station? Well now you can find out thanks to the House of Vans London. Spread across five tunnels, this subterranean space pays homage to the brand’s iconic values with a series of live gigs, screenings, inspirational talks, exhibitions and skateboarding. Here’s a round-up of what’s on at the moment.

Skate in London’s only indoor skate park
Featuring a pool-style concrete bowl, street and mini ramp section, this is the perfect place to practice your skills with other skaters far away from the traffic and pollution of London’s busy streets. Just remember to register for a skate session before via the website.

Get your nails done
Proving that House of Vans isn’t just about skateboarding, WAH Nails will be on hand (sorry, couldn’t resist) to decorate your talons with their signature prints and patterns. Expect lots of checks, boards and logo detailing.

Listen to London’s best bands and DJs
There’s nothing worse than going to an amazing venue but discovering it plays no music. Fortunately, House of Vans have ensured that won’t be the case in the Waterloo tunnels thanks to a line-up of epic bands and DJs rocking the joint. The 2 Bears, Livin’ Proof and Dinosaur Jr. have all previously played so keep an ear out for the next big act to take to the tunnels.

The initiative is also linked to three charities: Railway Children (helping vulnerable children on the streets), Action for Children (helping to break the cycle of deprivation that neglected children across the UK face) and Old Vic New Voices (an organisation to help engage young people with the arts).
