We spoke to designer Tanya Bartels, based in LA, to talk celebrities, key trends and what’s next.

Rocket Dog was founded back in 1997, how do you think the brand has progressed since then?
Rocket Dog remains true to its Californian spirit by combining its roots with a relaxed casual lifestyle and heritage. Over the years it has evolved its assortments and product lines across all the female consumer categories needs from boots, sandals, casuals, beach and everyday comfort flats.

How would you describe the Rocket Dog woman?
She is a Californian dreaming girl that represents effortless and sincere style, never sacrificing her unique look. She is confident, a natural beauty, driven and loves her Rocket Dog shoes. She collects them, blogs about them and posts on social media channels about them.

Can you tell us the inspiration behind the SS14 collection?
Fun island-inspired prints, bright colours and materials that represent a sport-infused look.

Rocket Dog is known for its strong prints, what is the key pattern for this SS14 season?
Wild tribal prints and bright stripes are key with accents including friendship bracelets on the ankle.
