WELCOME NEW BALANCE

WELCOME, NEW BALANCE

. . .

We’re pleased to welcome USA-born sneaker brand New Balance to the ranks. Founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1906, NB began life manufacturing arch supports. Not content with just producing insoles, the brand branched out to create running shoes. Scratch that, New Balance created the running shoe, “The Trackster”, crafted in 1960. So born is the world’s first track shoe.

A Little Background;

In 1972 -on the day of the Boston marathon- the stars aligned and New Balance was bought by Jim Davis, current chairman to this day. Jim and his wife have overseen New Balance’s growth from 6 employees chugging out an inconspicuous 30 pairs a day to today’s global mega-brand with over 5k employees. A third of all New Balance sneakers sold in Europe are made in England. New Balance is one of the largest footwear manufacturers in the UK.

The New Balance brand has happily risen from strength to strength over its 100-year history. Seemingly always a favourite with the young- first choice for local college track teams (MIT, Tufts & Boston) to consistently turning heads in the current sneaker scene with some pretty iconic silhouettes.

The collection;

Our first New Balance collection focuses on a curated selection of key styles for men and women. Silhouettes, materials and price points (£56 – £90) are set to satisfy a range of tastes; from the bold and chunky 574 Sport through to the slim, sleek and lightweight 247 Classic.

Signature shapes have had subtle design updates with new fabrics – soft premium suede’s/ breathable mesh uppers – and additional technical features, such as the REVlite midsoles. The new midsole has been created to ensure comfort, flexibility and above-all guarantee the pairs are 30% lighter than those with other foams. All pairs are proudly emblazoned with New Balance’s signature ‘N’ logo.

So what pair are you gonna pick up?
