DISRUPTOR
Coming in first, a silhouette that really needs no introduction (but we’ll give it one anyway…), the Fila Disruptor. Big, bold and uncompromising, 2018 was the year the Disruptor was copped and rocked from Bermondsey to Berlin. With more revamps in the pipeline, we don’t see this favourite fading into the background any time soon.
SPAGHETTI
First released in the 1990s under the OG name Stackhouse, this throwback silhouette has been reissued in a low top profile. Suede panels are overlaid on a mesh upper, with ghillie-style lacing and embroidered branding, all sitting atop a bubble effect midsole. Sounds like too much in theory, but works perfectly in practice.
RAY
A whole new silhouette for SS19, the Ray strikes the perfect midway point between a classic dad sneaker and the bulkier silhouette of the FILA Disruptor. Sure to be another icon in the making.
TRAILBLAZER
Originally created as a practical hiking boot in the 1980s, the style later became synonymous with rave culture in the ‘90s. Aesthetically different to most other FILA styles, the Trailblazer will no doubt become an even bigger hit as 2019’s hiker boot trend continues.
VENOM
Another revamped archive silhouette, the Venom. Although less chunky than other styles featured in this list, it still holds its own and makes for a good entry-level dad sneaker. Reiterations boast colour updates and panels of suede and leather on the uppers.
