A Tasty Take on the Chelsea Flower Show

Think Chelsea Flower Show is all about gardening and OAPs? Well, it’s time to think again. Two of London’s coolest bars have officially made the annual event. How? By inventing two delicious cocktails to honour this floral extravaganza.

First up is Barts, a speakeasy style bar located in – yup you’ve guessed it – Chelsea. Known for its dressing-up box, this chic prohibition-esque bar will be showcasing a cocktail called The Chinese Lantern for the duration of the flower show. Created by bar manager Vincenzo Sibilia, it is a heady mix of homemade hibiscus flower and rose jam infused with Tangueray Malacca gin, apple juice, lime juice, egg white and sugar syrup served in glowing Chinese lantern filled with violet essence.

Next on the list is American bar and restaurant Honky Tonk who have come up with the appropriately named Madison Square Garden cocktail. A flowery punch of Bulldog gin and elderflower, this tasty concoction it also features edible flowers to help you feel nice and healthy.

Finally, a part of the Chelsea Flower Show we can identify with.
