If you’re a fan of electronic music then chances are you already know about the 981Heritage “Son Estrella Galicia” festival which will be hitting London on 10th July. For those of you who don’t, you’d better read on.

What it’s all about: The third time it’s come to London, 981Heritage began life as a tiny event in La Coruna, Spain. Since then it’s grown to become one of the premier events on the electronic music calendar but still manages to retain its core values of providing a platform for the most experimental artists to perform to intimate audiences in unique spaces. The festival’s choice of Bethnal Green’s Oval Space is definitely a fitting one. Known for its knack of hosting edgy and offbeat events, the Oval Space is the perfect match for 981 Heritage.

Who’s playing: Canadian band Austra will be headlining the festival. Fresh from performing at Coachella, they will be treating the audience to tracks from their new EP Habitat. Blue Hawaii and Maxixe (the new project from Micachu & The Shapes’ drummer Marc Pell and We Have Band singer Darren Bancroft) will also be on hand to whip the crowd into a frenzy.

Find out more: Oval Space. Tickets are available at Songkick and Oval Space. You’ll have to be quick though, they’re selling fast.
